I had parotid surgery on Februrary 15, 2010. Since the images may be disturbing to some, I've given the parotidectomy surgery incision showing the drain still in place and then after removal their own page. Most of the images below were taken during and just after the follow-up appointment.

Mr. Handshake 2.0 was and is extremely supportive. He is, therefore, to be forgiven for remarking about my outfit of cap hand-knitted by my grandmother paired with my L.L. Bean coat - which I found myself wearing non-stop for the first three days - "I feel like I'm living in South Park."
